Timothy M. Kennedy
New York State Senator
Tim Kennedy represents the people of New York State's 63rd Senatorial District.
Tim was raised in South Buffalo, one of five children of Martin and Mary Kennedy. He is a graduate of St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and D'Youville College. In 2004, at the age of 28, Kennedy was appointed to the Erie County Legislature, representing the 2nd District, after Mark J. F. Schroeder was elected to the State Assembly. He would win reelection in 2005 and 2007. He was elected to the State Senate in 2010.
Kennedy currently chairs the New York State Senate Transportation, Infrastructure, and Capital Investment Committee. He serves on the Finance, Rules, Energy & Telecommunications, Insurance, Banks, and Social Services Committees. Tim and his wife, Katie, live in the City of Buffalo where they are raising their three children, Connor, Eireann, and Padraic.
